What lies ahead in 2024?

The past year was filled with growth, collaboration, and innovation. We are grateful for the trust and support you’ve shown ABILITY GROUP, and we remain committed to delivering excellence in every project and partnership.
In 2024 you can expect ongoing changes in workers compensation, health & safety across Australia.
In NSW workers compensation, the new icare Claims Service Providers (CSP) are receiving more & more clients transferring from EML. We anticipate this will lead to a more service-focused model with CSP's striving to progressively gain greater market share.
In Victoria, we expect continued pressure regarding the ongoing viability of the workers compensation scheme & amongst other challenges.
In underwritten States/Territories (ACT, WA, NT & Tas) we envisage underwriters focusing on the premium required to cover increasing claim costs impacted by wages & other inflationary pressures.
Worksafe has already banned engineered stone use from 1 July 2024. We also expect the focus on Psychosocial Injuries & Hazards to continue.
