Along with the introduction of new laws, the Fair Work Ombudsman has put employers on notice that ignorance is no longer an acceptable excuse for not meeting their minimum obligations in relation to record keeping & paying employees. Working In Bad Weather
Approximately 25% of Australia’s workforce are employed in jobs that may require working outdoors for at least some of the time. Recent bushfires, smoke and heavy rain, prompted us to review employers responsibilities for working in bad weather.

Review of Nominal Insurer icare
A must read for all, the SIRA Review of Nominal Insurer (icare) by Independent Reviewer Ms Janet Dore published in December 2019 contains findings on the operation & sustainability of the icare. The report recommends significant steps for improvement to maintaining a fair & sustainable NSW workers compensation system.

Each year we try a new Christmas theme & way to wish our clients & partners a very Merry Christmas. This year our elves in our office are busy doing secret santas & getting ready for the holiday season.
