Following icare’s announcement in late 2022, from 1 January 2023 icare has increased the number of Claims Service Providers (CSP’s) to 6 partners. The existing CSP’s (i.e. Allianz, EML, GIO and QBE) will be joined by Gallagher Bassett (GB) and DXC later in 2023. The increase in CSP’s is to help ensure both injured workers and employers get the best possible care and support throughout workers compensation claim management process with the transition to new CSP’s having commenced in April 2023.

icare has reiterated its commitment to supporting the CSP’s in establishing their operations for the improvement of the entire scheme.

To achieve the objective of once again providing Employers with the choice of selecting their CSP, iCare must first support a balancing of market share across each of the CSPs. This will involve the gradual transfer of policies between the various CSPs to manage new claims scheduled to commence in the coming months.

Employers that could initially be moved include those with policies with an Average Performance Premium (APP) of less than $200,000 with no open claims. Grouped employers will retain a common CSP.

Employers selected for transfer of their CSP will be notified at least 28 days before they are due to move.
