Most businesses have a Drug & Alcohol Policy to help ensure employees safety whilst at work. An employer however abused their policy to wrongly terminate an employee.

October is Australian National Safe Work month. In 2019 Safe Work Australia is wanting to let everyone know they can be a Work Health & Safety (WHS) champion via the theme “Be a Safety Champion”.
A carpenter who was found to have forged medical certificates in order to continue to receive payments under his workers compensation claim, has been gaoled for 9 months. The court also has ordered him to re-pay $112,975 in fruadlent payments received under the claim.
